Bridesmaids

Most women have a tough choice deciding on their bridesmaids. Not I. I knew from the moment we started planning the wedding who I wanted. It wasn't a tough choice. My sweet girlfriends mean so much to me and have been in my life for a very long time.
Our numbers were off. I had 1 more bridesmaid than my husband had groomsmen, but it didn't matter. It was important for me to have my girls there. So when it comes on who to pick, I say pick them all!

#FAIL

I love when I read about people who succeed after failure. There are so many people who haven't let failures break them. I've had many failures of my own. I've gotten fired, I've been turned down for work, I've been rejected by men (thankfully not my husband), been turned down after just a first audition. Many times I've given up, but with age and faith (in God) I keep my head up knowing there's a better me to come.
This inspired me to make this.

How to deal with teenagers

I love kids, but I am not a fan of teenagers. Teenagers are just so hard to please. I have fun making them feel stupid.

"My room, my rules."
Uh, no. Your room? Since when did you start paying rent?
"When I get a job, I'm going to buy myself a new ____."
How about you start by learning how to listen to your parents?  Then you can think about getting a job.  Let me tell ya, when you have a job, you have a thing called a BOSS.
"I hate my life."
Whatever, get over it. There are worse things in life that could happen, like getting your Xbox taken a way for a week is not one.
"WIFI is down. I can't do my homework."
I can always take you to my parents house and you can use their encyclopedia.
"I have to walk?!"
Crawling is always an option.
"All my friends have iPhones."
And all my friends have boob jobs. What's your point?

Pinterest Wife

So as I have mentioned, I do not know how to cook. In the past year I have learned to master a couple of different dishes. All due to Pinterest. Today I tried another pin/recipe  a Thai Turkey Salad. I changed it a tiny bit. Instead of making it into a salad I used the cabbage as tortillas and served them like tacos. The guys loved them. It has been a couple of hours and neither of them is dead, so safe to say, I succeeded with this dish.

Here is the link to the original pin. I wish the picture I took of mine was as nice as the one on the pin

8 easy steps to (MY) clean closet

I finally got around to cleaning my closet. It still is a work in progress, but I got the majority of it done.
The biggest thing was to get my husbands stuff out of there to make room for all my things. We got him a tiny Ikea closet to fit all his 8 shirts. LOL

It took me 8 easy steps to do it.You can too!

  1. Pour yourself a drink. Since it is only 10am I made it a Mimosa.
  2. Enjoy your drink for a few minutes
  3. Play some loud Country music. Something about it makes me efficient in cleaning.
  4. Separate dresses from skirts, shirts and pants.
  5. Color coordinate (very important)
  6. Put storage boxes to good use (undies, bras, socks, ect.) all went in there
  7. Organize shoes in shoe organizer. Easy for me to do, I wear a size 3 in kids so all my shoes fit in one.
  8. Pour another drink.
I realize this is not much of a list, but it worked for me.

Home Sweet Home

After almost two months of getting married, I am finally just about done unpacking. We decided it would be a good idea to move into a new place the same month we got married. Well, not only the same month but TWO WEEKS before. Well, since we didn't live together he moved in two weeks before and I moved in my stuff a week before the wedding.
He unpacked almost immediately. I however, I have lots of CRAP. There are things I should probably get rid of, but I find some sort of emotional attachment to everything I own.
To add to the stress of moving in, I married a neat freak. He's the Felix and I'm the Oscar. I'm not a slob or anything, I just don't mind a few things on the floor.
So I have decided that pinterest will be my savior. I am pinning things to help me get organized. My days off have been dedicated to that. Except of course, I have been "pinning" and not cleaning. And now, I've decided to BLOG on my wifey learning experiences. SO the past 20 minutes I could have spent cleaning, I decided to blog. I'm crazy I know.
BTW, before I forget to mention. I'm learning how to cook as well, so maybe I should post some of my cooking on here as well.
Wow, my husband must really love me if he married a not-so neat, non cooking, woman.
LOL
